Ski Trip from Košice to Jaworzyna Krynicka

The cable car to Jaworzyna Krynicka is 2,211 meters long and ascends to the summit of Jaworzyna Krynicka at an altitude of 1,114 meters above sea level.

Thanks to the cable car, Krynica has become a modern winter sports center. Ideal conditions for winter sports, including downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as snowboarding, are prevalent here. The snow cover lasts for over 4 months a year.

There are 8 ski slopes on Jaworzyna Krynicka, with a total length of over eight kilometers, four of which are FIS certified.

The latest addition is the modernization of ski route no. 6 and the chairlift (the route under the gondola lift, which also operates for night skiing). The older chairlift has been replaced by the most advanced 6-seater detachable chairlift currently on the market, manufactured by Doppelmayr.

The new chairlift travels at a speed of 5 m/s, is equipped with anthracite-colored windbreaks, and has heated, bucket-style seats. The capacity of the new chairlift is 2800 people/hour. The lower station of the new lift is located right next to the lower station of the gondola lift.

Itinerary:

• 7:00 Participants’ gathering at the bus stop on Bottovej Street in Kosice. Bus marked with the PKLTOURS logo.
• 7:15 Departure by the group’s chartered bus from Kosice to Krynica Zdrój.
• 9:00 Arrival at the parking lot near the lower station of the Jaworzyna Krynicka gondola lift.

Distribution of full-day ski passes prepared for the group.

• 9:30 – 12:00 Breakfast at the Harnaś restaurant (at the top of Jaworzyna Krynicka), individual order based on a voucher, choose from:
• • Frankfurters (3 pieces), bread, butter, tomato, ketchup/mustard, coffee or tea
  • Scrambled eggs with 3 eggs, bread, butter, tomato, coffee, or tea

   

Skiing or snowboarding on the slopes of the Jaworzyna Krynicka ski resort.

• 16:30 Meeting at the bus parking lot.
• 17:00 Return by bus from the parking lot near the lower station of the cable car.
• 19:00 Arrival in Kosice on Bottova Street (depending on road conditions on the route).
